On the occasion of Qatar’s National Day, Sharq Village and Spa weaves together the experiences of Arabian hospitality to create a warm and welcoming sense of traditional Qatari home life.
Sharq Village and Spa joins in the festivities with a special decoration themed in the colours of the National flag. From the moment guests enter the hotel, they will be greeted by the ladies and gentlemen who will be dressed in the traditional Qatari national “Thoab” and “Nashl”, and served coffee in the true sense of Qatari hospitality.
Prior this propitious event, Sharq Village and Spa organised a cake-cutting ceremony for  guests where the hotel showcased the heritage of this country by inviting a Qatari folklore band, falcon man and henna lady to make it a memorable celebration for locals, as well as hotel guests, and  residents.
“Qatar National Day is a national commemoration of Qatar’s unification and independence and is celebrated on December 18 every year.” said Carsten Fritz, General Manager of Sharq Village and Spa. “We are proud to be a part of the community in Doha and National Day provides the perfect platform for us to celebrate with our guests.” added Fritz.
The culinary brigade will extend an unadulterated Khalliji dining experience to hotel residents during this celebration. Chef Hassan Abdallah executive chef at Sharq Village and Spa will offer a selection of Qatari dishes in Al Liwan, while Stephen Espouy, executive pastry chef, will be presenting a delectable display of pastries designed to reflect this precious occasion at Al Jalsa lounge.
