BANGKOK: Deputising for Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi has participated in a security conference in Thailand.
Titled ‘Bangkok Dialogue on the Rule of the Law: Investment in Rule of the Law, Justice and Security for the post 2015,’ the conference kicked off in Bangkok earlier on Friday. The significance of the participation reflects Qatar’s firm belief in the principle of rule of the law and its quest of achieving the goals of the UN. During the dialogue activities, the Minister of Justice met with Princess Bajrakitaaabha Mahidol, the President of the Conference, as well as Prime Minister of Thailand Yingluck Shinawatra, and conveyed the greetings of the Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister, expressing his thanks and gratitude to the government of Thailand for hosting the dialogue, stressing Qatar’s readiness to host the upcoming United Nations Conference on “Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice” slated for Doha in April 2015.
