DOHA: Pakistan International School, Qatar (PISQ) conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the Academic Year 2025-2026 at the Arbab Auditorium recently, with an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, pride, and a renewed sense of responsibility among students.

The ceremony was hosted by Hadiya Ghaffar (Grade 11A). The program commenced with a soulful recitation by Abu Bakar Qureshi (Grade 7, Boys’ Wing), setting a tone of gratitude and solemnity for the event.

The highlight of the morning was the oath-taking ceremony, administered by the Principal, Ch. Muhammad Afzal, who conferred badges and sashes to the newly elected 331 members of the Students’ Council. The moment was a remarkable display of unity and discipline, symbolizing the leadership spirit across all wings of the institution. The Principal emphasized the importance of integrity, commitment, and teamwork in student leadership.

Distinguished dignitaries, including all Vice Principals graced the event, witnessing the induction of new council members who pledged to serve with sincerity and uphold the values of PISQ.

For the first time, the Kindergarten Wing also became part of the council, reflecting inclusivity and leadership cultivation from an early age. The Student Council structure for 2025–2026 encompassed: The Students’ Council 2025–2026 comprised representatives from all wings of Pakistan International School, Qatar, reflecting inclusivity and leadership at every level.

The Kindergarten Wing appointed 8 House Captains, 18 Monitors, and 18 Prefects, while the Primary Wing included 8 House Captains, 40 Monitors, and 40 Prefects. The Cambridge Wing featured 8 House Captains, 11 Monitors, and 11 Prefects.

The Girls’ Wing proudly inducted 4 House Captains, 35 Monitors, 35 Prefects, and 1 Senior Prefect, whereas the Boys’ Wing comprised 4 House Captains, 36 Monitors, 40 Prefects, and 1 Senior Prefect — altogether forming a strong, dynamic body of student leaders dedicated to discipline, service, and excellence.

The four traditional houses — K2, Gasherbrum, Rakaposhi, and Kirthar — continued to form the foundation of the school’s house system, inspiring healthy competition, cooperation, and a sense of belonging.

The council also included 2 Head Boys, 2 Deputy Head Boys, 2 Head Girls, and 2 Deputy Head Girls, alongside 2 Senior Prefects representing all wings and academic streams. As the oath was recited collectively, the auditorium resonated with the pledge to uphold discipline, respect, and the honor of the school, embodying the spirit of unity and excellence.

The ceremony concluded with words of appreciation from PISQ Principal Ch. Muhammad Afzal, who commended the efforts of students and teachers in maintaining the high standards of the institution. He emphasized that leadership begins with responsibility and that every member of the council should lead by example in character and conduct.

The event was organized under the supervision of Azmina Saheef, Manager Events, whose meticulous coordination ensured the success of this prestigious occasion.
