Palestinian President, US Secretary of State discuss efforts of de-escalation in occupied territories

Amman: Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, discussed with the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, latest developments in Palestine, along with the developments of the current efforts aimed at halting the escalation, sparing the civilians the scourge of war, as well as the significance of delivering relief, medical and food items and providing water and electricity as soon as possible.

In a meeting held in the Jordanian capital, Amman on Tuesday, they stressed the rejection of forcible displacement of Palestinians from Gaza Strip.

Palestinian President underlined that peace and security are solely achieved through the implementation of the two-state solution based on the international legitimacy resolutions which includes the entire land of the State of Palestine in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip with recognition of the State of Palestine.
