Ambassador of Republic of Türkiye in Qatar Dr. Mustafa Göksu
Doha, Qatar: The Republic of Türkiye in Qatar, represented by its Ambassador Dr. Mustafa Göksu, strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack in the harshest terms, affirming that this assault “targeted the security and safety of the brotherly State of Qatar and deliberately destabilised the region.”
Ambassador Göksu stressed that Türkiye stands with all its capabilities by the side of Qatar, its ally, strategic partner, and friend.
He stated: “Israel’s rejection of a truce and its desire to undermine all mediation efforts are once again clearly manifested through its targeting of the Hamas negotiation delegation while working on the proposal put forward by US President Donald Trump.”
Göksu pointed out that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasised that “in the face of this attack, which constitutes a clear violation of international law and of Qatar’s sovereignty, Türkiye stands with all its capabilities alongside its Palestinian brothers and its strategic partner and ally, the brotherly State of Qatar. This attack demonstrates Israel’s intention to deepen instability in the region.”
Göksu added: “I would like to reiterate what our President has stressed: Those who have turned terrorism into state policy will never achieve their goals.” He further noted that Türkiye will continue its firm and resolute stance against Israel’s brazen attacks that aim to drag the region into catastrophe. “Regardless of the cost, we will persist in defending peace, international law, and the freedom of our Palestinian brothers.”
Concluding his statement, the Ambassador underlined that Türkiye considers Qatar’s security an integral part of its own national security and will not hesitate to support Doha politically and diplomatically in international forums. He said: “This attack will not deter our two countries from upholding truth and justice, nor will it succeed in destabilising the region or breaking the will of its peoples.”
