DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Wednesday, adding 36.30 points 0.38 percent to advance to 9,473.57 points from 9,437.27 on Tuesday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 5,434,771 from 5,788,240 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR 258,336,449.22 from QR196,097,407.58 Tuesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.75 percent to QR163.00, Industries Qatar rose 0.99 percent to QR163.80, Al Ahli Bank gained 0.91 percent to QR55.50 and United Development Company up by 0.66 percent to QR22.85.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.75 points, while Insurance sector index gained 0.93 points and Industrial sector rose 0.59 points. (QNA)
