Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulwahed Al Hammadi meets with ambassadors of Education Excellence Award.
Doha: Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulwahed Al Hammadi, met yesterday with the first group of ambassadors who were selected from the winners of Education Excellence Award (EEA) based on their distinction.
The group of ambassadors include Wadha Hamad Saleh Abu Sherida Al Adhba, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani Al Haram, Hessa Wasmi Al Wubiri Al Shamri, and Hessa Ismail Saeed Faraj.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed the importance of the award for the State and society. He said that H H the Amir honours the winners of the award every year giving importance to the education and its essential role in the success of the country’s national development process.
He stressed the importance of developing the ambassadors of excellence and their capabilities through training, educational and awareness programs to enhance their leadership capabilities, dialogue, discussion and other supporting skills to enable them to perform their tasks and enhance their capabilities as the first ambassadors of excellence.
Addressing the ambassadors, the Minister said: “The nations are built by its distinguished people, and this is a great responsibility on your shoulders. You have been chosen on the basis of your outstanding giving, and you are the first ambassadors for the award.”
“Your responsibility is double, and you should know that excellence is not only with your knowledge, but rather, it is your belief that you are working to leave a good footprint that guides those who come after you and a mark that indicates your achievement,” said the Minister.
During the meeting, the ambassadors thanked the Minister for their continuous support and assured him that they would work on the honorable representation of the EEA.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister honoured the new ambassadors and handed them the ambassadors’ membership cards issued by the ministry, wishing them success in their mission.
