Injaz, Qatar conducted a workshop for students at Pakistan Education Centre (PEC) recently. It was a four hour workshop conducted by Rana El Adaoui, Programmes Manager, and Laila Lawson, Programmes Coordinator of INJAZ Qatar. As many as 72 boys and girls from Grade 9 to Grade 11 participated in the camp.
It was an activity-based programme in which the students worked in seven groups/teams under the supervision of their teachers. The students were given a variety of topics like how to promote tourism in Qatar, how to save the environment in Qatar and how to develop business or make a SMART business plan. The students were encouraged to work collaboratively to address a specific challenge and find out a realistic solution. Each team was mentored by a corporate volunteer.
By the end of the day, the competing teams prepared their business plans which were pitched to a panel of judges. The panel of judges included Mubaraka Noman, Maria Asif and Fatima Nadeem of PEC. The judges studied the business plan of each team analytically and asked the team leaders a variety of questions. Finally, they selected the most creative business plan prepared by Team No 4 of the Boys Wing.
The team members of the winning team were awarded with QR150 voucher coupons by the Programme Manager, Rana El Adaoui while all the participant students were given Participation Certificates.
Nargis Raza Otho, Principal, PEC, thanked the Injaz team for conducting the workshop at PEC. She also congratulated the winning students.
