Qatar stocks close 24.24 points higher

DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 24.24 points (0.19 percent) when the bourse closed trading at 12,540.10 points here Sunday.

The market capitalisation increased to QR667.28bn from QR666.09bn registered Thursday. 

The traded value decreased to QR932.45m with a volume of 32,354,595 shares from 9,114 transactions compared with QR 950.55m with a volume of 29,693,346 shares from 8,976 transactions on Thursday.

Indices of five sectors declined and two gained today.

Insurance index dropped the most today, down 2.98 percent (4,682.5 points) while real estate gained the most, up 3.26 percent (2,992.19 points).

QSE Total Return Index gained 0.19 percent (19,487.97 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index gained 0.24 percent (4,761.68 points) and QSE All Share Index gained 0.16 percent (3,339.23 points).

From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 saw trading today. From these 15 advanced, 24 declined and two remained unchanged.
