DOHA: Ooredoo announced yesterday a new addition to its post-paid portfolio — new Shahry plans, which offer up to five times more data than previous Shahry plans.
The new plans, which have been designed to cater for the increasing demand for both local data and international minutes in Qatar, will offer more allowances than current Shahry Smart packs.
The four new Shahry plans are available from today, starting from QR100 – QR250, and all packs will include generous data and international minute allowances as standard.
Each Shahry pack (100, 150, 200, and 250) will also be protected from bill-shock, as Endless Internet feature will be included in the bundles as standard. This means after customers use their local data allowance, they will be able to continue to use data at a lower speed without any extra charges.
Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director of PR and Corporate Communications, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Our new Shahry plans offer great value for everyone in Qatar. We’ve listened to what people want and are using and adapted our plans to reflect this with up to five time more data than our previous Shahry Plans. Stay tuned for more post-paid updates in the very near future.”
On top of the local data and international calling boost, the new Shahry 250 plan will include 2 GB of Roaming Data allowance each month, for customers who like to stay connected while travelling, as well as an out-of-bundle roaming rate of just QR1 per MB/minute/SMS in all Ooredoo Passport countries on select roaming networks.
All existing Shahry Smart plan customers will be able to continue to use the plans they are on, and can easily upgrade to the new plans 24/7 via the Ooredoo App or by calling 111.
