DOHA: The narrated musical performance of “Peter and The Wolf” will be staged on Saturday, 4pm at the FBQ Museum .
“Peter and The Wolf” for woodwind quintet, violin and percussion by famous Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev will be presented by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. It tells the story of a young boy who manages to capture a malicious wolf.
The piece was written and composed by Prokofiev to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra, every character being represented by one instrument.
The show serves as the final event for the Museum for this season before the Ramadan break.
Those interested to watch the show are encouraged to visit and explore the Museum ahead of time as the event will be on a first come first served basis and subject to capacity. Museum entrance fee is QR20 per adult.
Entry for children is free.
