Cabinet fixes registration fees for lawyers, law companies

Doha: The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at the Emiri Diwan.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud said the Cabinet approved a draft decision of the Minister of Justice on fixing registration fees for lawyers, local and international law firms according to the table registration fees attached to the decision.
The Cabinet also approved a draft decision of the Minister of Environment on endorsing a technical regulation (Qatari construction specifications (QCS) for 2014), a mandatory Qatari technical regulation. The decision is effective after 90 days of its issue in the official gazette.
The session then endorsed Qatar’s participation in the 15th GCC exhibition in the UAE on May 26-30.
It approved a proposal of the Labour and Social Affairs Ministry to grant Qatar Red Crescent Society financial support for 2013-2014.
It also approved a draft cooperation agreement in legal field between the Justice Ministry and its Georgian counterpart; and a draft protocol complementary to the air transport accord between Qatar and Romania.
The Cabinet reviewed a study ‘Population and water in Qatar’ by the population standing committee and took the appropriate decision. QNA
