Doha: The Accreditation Department at Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners at Supreme Council of Health is organising a two-day workshop on Introducing a Framework for CME/CPD, in association with Partners Healthcare International, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
The event from tomorrow targets the top management and decisionmakers in leading healthcare organisations and academic institutions in the country.
It aims at providing orientation and training at strategic level to stakeholders on the introduction of the Continuous Medical Education/ Continuous Professional Development framework for healthcare professionals.
The workshop  will also focus on management processes. Perspectives of stakeholders were explored in a survey.
The workshop is in line with National Health Strategy goals concerned with Framework for CPD/CME programme accreditation.  The CME/CPD mandatory participation policy will be implemented in January 2016. A series of orientation workshops is planned for healthcare practitioners to highlight the CME/CPD framework.
