Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched a new training course today on news editing techniques at QNA Training Halls, as part of a series of courses and programs organized by the agency with the aim of raising the efficiency of its employees and enhancing their skills in various media and journalistic fields.
The 5-day training course will be presented by media expert at QNA, Mazen Al Naimi, with the participation of QNA employees from various department. The course aims to enhance the employees’ skills in news editing techniques, as part of QNA’s ongoing efforts to develop its media cadres and keep pace with rapid developments in the media field.
The training course contributes to enhancing the participants’ capabilities in the fields of modern journalistic writing, and improving editing techniques in accordance with international professional standards.
It also includes various topics related to drafting techniques, specialized journalistic editing, electronic research tools, in addition to news verification techniques and dealing with information sources in the digital media era, reflecting the agency’s commitment to developing the local media work environment and achieving the highest quality standards in news transmission.
In March 2023, QNA opened ‘QNA Training Halls,’ equipped with the latest training methods, as part of its vision to enhance the capabilities of Qatari media professionals and create a generation capable of leading the future of national media.
