Doha: The designated authorities referred 399 people to the Prosecution for Covid-19 precautionary measure violations on Thursday (February 17, 2022).

388 people were reported for not wearing masks in places where it is required and 11 for not installing the Ehteraz app.

The measures are in line with the Cabinet decision on Covid-19 restrictions, which obligates all citizens and residents to wear masks in all closed places and selected public places.

"In line with the cabinet decision based on Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, the competent authorities referred several people to the Prosecution for violating Covid-19 preventive and precautionary measures in force," Ministry said in a statement.
