Munich: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the second session of Munich Security Conference’s second day yesterday, during which German Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel spoke.
The session was attended by a number of heads of delegations participating in the conference.

Later H H the Amir met with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, on the sidelines of the 55th Munich Security Conference. The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations, and the joint efforts to counter-terrorism and its financing.
The Speaker thanked H H the Amir for the role the Al Udeid airbase plays in that regard. The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments. The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying H H the Amir.
