London--Scotland's Six Nations campaign was hit by a fresh blow on Tuesday with the news that lock Richie Gray will miss the rest of the tournament with an arm injury.

The 25-year-old Castres forward, elder brother of international colleague Jonny Gray, hurt his upper arm during Scotland's 26-23 loss to Wales on Sunday and will be sidelined for around 12 weeks.

"Richie Gray has been ruled out of the remainder of the RBS 6 Nations Championship with an arm injury," Scottish Rugby announced on Twitter.

News of Gray's injury arrives a day after it emerged that prop Jon Welsh will miss the rest of the competition with a fractured hand.

Beaten by France and Wales in their first two fixtures, Vern Cotter's Scotland host Italy in their next match on February 28.
