DOHA: HE the Minister of Justice Dr. Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi said that the State of Qatar is celebrating the National Day this year as it became a state of law and institutions, preserving the rights of all and maintaining their dignity.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar's National Day, HE the Minister of Justice congratulated HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Qatari government and people.
HE expressed hope that this precious occasion returns every year while Qatar and its people are enjoying prosperity and well-being under its wise leadership which ensures greater achievements on the path of building a modern state to meet the aspirations and hopes of the people of further development, progress and prosperity.
The celebration of this day is a celebration of the noble values upon which the modern state of Qatar was established and made sure to promote them to serve the interests of its people.
Adding that Qatar embodied that by enacting several laws and legal provisions that organise civilian life, at the forefront the adoption of the Permanent Constitution of the State of Qatar in 2004.
To achieve the goals of our leadership in the completion of the causes of democratic rule of our beloved country which has laid the main pillars of the society, embodied the popular participation in decision-making and ensured the rights and freedoms of its people.
HE the Minister of Justice pointed out that the establishment of the National Committee for Human Rights in Qatar came within this context, where the independence of the judicial authority, made the State of Qatar today a source of pride for its loyal people, the surrounding Arab countries, and its Islamic depth.
HE the Minister of Justice Dr. Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi said that the vision of justice of Qatar is characterized by comprehensiveness since the era of the late founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani until today.
Regarding the most important future plans for the ministry, HE Al Mohannadi confirmed that the Ministry of Justice is working on several important and strategic projects in implementation of the directives of HH the Emir to upgrade services provided to citizens and residents.
HE said that in the context of keeping up with the instructions of HE Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, who offers full support and assistance to government bodies for the development of services for the benefit of citizens and residents of the State of Qatar.
A new branch for the Office of Real Estate Registration and Documentation department was opened in Al Khor to bring services closer to the people of the northern regions.
In this context, HE the Minister of Justice pointed out that a committee to upgrade electronic services in the ministry with the membership of efficiency figures from other partner service ministries to serve the public.
HE the Minister of Justice Dr. Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi noted that Ministry of Justice also keen to launch its evening services to the public. (QNA)
