Doha: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs inaugurated yesterday in the courtyard of the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab mosque an exhibition showcasing photographs of the mosque and also launched the mosque website as part of its activities to mark the first anniversary of its inauguration on December 16, 2011.
The Gallery is one of four similar exhibitions being held at the Qatar Islamic Cultural Center (Fanar), the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs premises and Souq Waqif.
The exhibitions with photos selected out of 3,500 mosque photographs introduce visitors the design of Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab Mosque and its facilities. They also reflected the aesthetics of this islamic edifice which was built according to the old Qatari architectural design.
