Doha: Barwa Real Estate Group officially appointed leading local consultancy Arab Engineering Bureau for the delivery of the company’s newest development “Motor City”, the company said in a  release yesterday.
Barwa Real Estate Acting Group CEO Eng Ahmad Abdulla Al Abdulla, and Arab Engineering Bureau CEO/Chief Architect Eng Ibrahim Al Jaidah, signed an agreement as per which Arab Engineering Bureau will be providing the “Motor City” project with pre–concept master plan, infrastructure and architectural design, in addition to cost management and tender documentation services, as part of a transaction worth QR49m.
The “Motor City”, comes under Barwa Real Estate’s social and economic contributions to the Qatari society as it enables young merchants to start their businesses using commercial units with encouraging prices.
Barwa Real Estate had revealed the Motor City project earlier in October following its rental of a land extending over 1,150,000 square metres, located in Rawdat Rashid near Salwa Road, to develop and run the Motor City.
Upon completion, the Motor City will provide showrooms with wide range of used-cars services, car workshops, maintenance centres, and warehouses for used cars as well as rent-a-car services.
