DOHA: Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah bin Thani Al Thani (pictured), well-known businessman, will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at Ernst & Young’s ‘Growing Beyond Summit 2012’ at the Ritz-Carlton today.
The award is being presented in recognition of his contributions to the industry and economy in the State of Qatar. It will be presented by Mark Otty, Managing Partner, Ernst & Young Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).

Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah bin Than Al Thani is known for his unparalleled contributions in fields such as real estate, banking and Islamic insurance in the region.
He launched several key ventures in these sectors and played a pioneering role in inspiring private companies to be listed on the Qatari bourse (Qatar Exchange) by making some of his key businesses listed.
