Doha: Minister of Labour H E Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met members of the Senate and House of Representatives in the US Congress, each separately, during his visit to the United States of America.
During the meetings, they discussed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America, especially in issues related to fields of labour and ways to enhance and develop them.
During the meetings, Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri briefed members of the US Congress on the latest reforms in the Labour market in the State of Qatar and the developments that have been introduced during the past years, explaining that the State of Qatar seeks to keep pace with the development witnessed by the world in the Labour market, which is reflected in the work environment and achieve the required balance between employers and workers alike.
He stressed that the Ministry of Labour is keen on continuous communication with its counterparts around the world and with various international organizations in order to enhance the exchange of expertise and cooperation to advance the legislation regulating the Labour market in the State of Qatar.
