DOHA: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) said that it has responded to reports of fish deaths in the Khor Al Adaid area, and is investigating the incident.
According to the Ministry, the Monitoring Department and the Department of Nature Reserves immediately intervened to follow up on the phenomenon of fish deaths.
A group of specialists took samples of fish to the laboratory to be examined so as to determine the causes behind the incident, MoECC said on its Twitter handle.
The fish deaths in the area, especially during the summer season, usually occur due to high seawater temperatures, the Ministry said.
