Doha: A free medical camp was organised by Reyada Medical Centre in association with Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association Qatar recently as part of the celebrations for the 75th Year of India’s Independence. The camp was inaugurated by Ambassador of India to Qatar H E Dr. Deepak Mittal.
More than 100 expatriates benefitted from medical services, including a wide range of blood tests to detect lifestyle diseases like hypertension, diabetes, kidney and liver function. The participants also underwent an ECG, a vision test and consulted with specialist doctors after they received their blood reports.
Speaking on the occasion, H E Dr. Mittal praised the joint efforts by both Reyada Medical Centre as well as AMU Alumni Association for organising a free medical camp and stated the Indian Embassy is keen to support the initiatives that helped the low-income workers. His Excellency also congratulated Reyada Medical Centre on its entry into the healthcare sector in Qatar.
Jamsheer Hamza, Managing Director, Reyada Healthcare while giving the presidential address stated, “We are honored to have His Excellency Dr. Deepak Mittal inaugurate this free medical camp. Initiatives like these are in line with Reyada Medical Centre’s vision and mission to provide accessible, affordable, quality healthcare.”
Dr. Abdul Kalam, Executive Director, Reyada Healthcare, on the occasion said, “I congratulate AMU Alumni Association for taking this initiative and Reyada Medical Centre will be extremely keen to organize and participate in health camps that would help Inspire Better Health in the community.”
Dr. Nadeem Jilani, President AMU Alumni Association, while addressing the gathering stated that his organization is always looking to conduct medical camps, blood donation drives, and other such activities that can benefit the community at large.
