Tehran: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a branch of Iran's military, announced today the death of its intelligence chief and two military commanders in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Meanwhile, an Iranian official revealed that an Israeli attack today targeted one of the Iranian Foreign Ministry buildings also in the capital Tehran.
The attack resulted in the injury of a number of civilians, including several Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees, noting that they were transferred to a hospital for treatment.
Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Saeed Khatibzadeh said that the Israeli regime carried out a deliberate and brutal attack on one of the Iranian Foreign Ministry buildings.
"Several civilians were injured in the attack, including some of my colleagues who were taken to the hospital for treatment," he said.
Khatibzadeh described the attack as another blatant war crime that is part of the Israeli regime's ongoing and systematic aggression against Iran.
Iran had previously announced the launch of a new batch of missiles towards Israel, as part of the third phase of Operation True Promise 3, in response to the recent Israeli attacks on Iranian territory.
