Doha: The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) is seeking volunteers for the inaugural FIFA Arab Cup 2021, which will take place from November 30 to December 18, giving a golden opportunity to the residents of Qatar to be part of the highly-anticipated event.

Speaking to media yesterday, Volunteer Strategy Manager of SC Nasser Al Mogaiseeb said the volunteering programme has been a huge success so far and encouraged the residents of Qatar to become volunteers.

“Volunteer programme was established in 2018 with two main targets. The short target was to prepare volunteers for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar, which will be held next year. The other goal is to prepare and build the capability of the volunteers so that they can serve some other events too,” Al Mogaiseeb told reporters yesterday.

“We already have more than 372,000 volunteers from 165 different nationalities, who have registered from the programme,” he added. People aged 18 and above can apply to become a volunteer at https://volunteer.fifa.com/invite/FAC2021. Those selected will support a range of operations, including spectator services, hospitality, broadcasting and media, among others.
