Doha: Abdulrahman Al Malki defeated Syed Azlan Amjad to clinch the top place in the Professional category of the InterContinental Squash tournament of Qatar Squash Federation (QSF).
On Monday at InterContinental Doha Bay Club, Abdulrahman took 34 minutes to set aside the challenge of Syed 11-5, 11-6, 11-8.
The Professional category was one of the ten finals which were played on the final day of the five-day tournament sponsored by InterContinental Hotel Doha and Galaxy Sports.
In the Men’s Level A final, Ahmed Noor overcame Umair Zaman 11-9,10-12,11-9, 8-11, 11-9 to win the top spot. In the Men’s Level B, Abdel Wahab Al Ishaq set aside the challenge of Sadam Mehawesh 11-4, 11-9, 9-11, 12-10.
Mayar El Saka topped in the Ladies category while Hana Alaa El Lethy had to settle for the second place. Mayar defeated Hana 11-6, 11-6, 11-4 in the final.
Qatar Squash Federation (QSF) Board Member Mohammed Al Khulaifi was the chief guest.
Also present were InterContinental Doha Recreation Manager Asela Jayaweera and QSF Technical Secretary Gamal Rasmi.
