125 community cases reported in Qatar as 200 recover from Covid-19 on December 15

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 151 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 200 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 138,919.

Out of the 151 new cases, 125 are community cases and 26 from travellers returning from abroad.

The total death in Qatar as of today is 241.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 141,272 and there are 2,112 active cases under treatment.

3,904 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (8,929  tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,175,833 tests.

There are 26 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 250.

Two patients were admitted to intensive care, and 22 people are receiving medical attention in ICU.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate

- Wearing a face mask

- Washing hands regularly
