The Qatari community flocked to see the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani at Souq Waqif where he opened five new hotels, as well as see him walking around, and this is not the first time the Emir done this.

There is discussion about a story that was published in a local Arabic newspaper recently that a child education centre hired a foreign pharmacist as administrator and everyone is waiting for clarification from the centre. 
 
There is much discussion as well as appreciation for the decision to stop Arab idol TV programme.
 
People are complaining about ATM machines in the city that when they try to withdraw money, they don’t get the cash, but the receipt shows that money has been withdrawn. When they lodge a complaint with the bank, they have to wait for 45 days to get the money back.
 
Discussion is going on about the many events, conferences and exhibitions that are being held in Qatar and how most of the public are not aware of them. And that there is a need for more publicity for these events.
