DOHA: Qatar’s largest lender, Qatar National Bank (QNB), has been granted licence to operate in Saudi Arabia.
QNB has branches in several countries, including the UAE, Jordan, China and India and its Saudi operations will be the bank’s newest overseas branch.
Alkhaleejonline.net reported yesterday quoting Saudi news agency that the approval to QNB to set up operations in Saudi Arabia was granted by the Cabinet yesterday as its weekly meeting headed by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
QNB has to coordinate with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency to finalise the licensing procedures.
