He is the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage from July, 2008. He was decorated with the French Legion of Honour. He was also presented with Badges of Honour by Jordan, Italy, Spain, France and Syria. He has a bachelor degree in Arabic and Islamic studies from Cairo University, Diploma in Oriental Studies from Jesuit University, Diploma in Higher Studies from Sorbonne and PhD in Political Science from State University of New York. He started his career as Charge d’affaires in Beirut, Lebanon. He is the author of Decision Making Process in the UNSC, Iran Iraq war and The Deficient knowledge, The Arab and the West in a Changing World.
