DOHA: Barney and Friends recently hosted a special performance for children from the Qatar Orphans Foundation (Dhreima) at The Gate Mall.

The performance was the latest refresh of the much-loved show that drew 4500 visitors to The Gate Mall over Ramadan and Eid this year. Barney and Friends is powerful edutainment that encourages positive behavior by incorporating music, fun and laughs.

The show had special meaning for the children from Dhreima who connected closely with the message of building on values that will reflect positively in their daily lives. It supported the foundation’s message that consists in providing an integrated Islamic system of care and shelter for orphans and the like in Qatar through experiences, researches and consultations to achieve family development and social solidarity.

“The Gate Management is humbled to be able to provide this fun experience for the children of Dhreima. During the celebrations, when it’s easy to take precious family time for granted, we at The Gate are just so happy we could help to give these children a good time over this important Eid period,” said Marketing Representative of the Gate Mall Isabella Ibrahim.

The Gate management positioned a kids’ corner on the ground floor as well, where a number of activities took place for children to enjoy such as balloon squeezing and face painting.

“We will focus our efforts on making positive changes in the Qatari society and will continue bringing more educational shows in the near future,” said Ibrahim.
