Doha, Qatar: The General Authority of Customs has issued a warning to citizens and residents about scam messages containing fake links that impersonate 'Qatari Customs'.
These fraudulent messages often mention fake customs parcels and ask recipients to update their address. They may also request payments or fees through a fraudulent link.
In a statement shared on social media, the Authority clarified that these messages are not issued by them or any other official partner in the country.
It also emphasized that its communication with the public is conducted solely through official and approved channels.
To avoid falling victim to such scams, the Authority advises the public to: avoid clicking links from unverified sources, never share personal or banking information, verify suspicious messages by contacting the relevant authorities through official communication channels.
