Ramaco wins ISO and OHSAS certificates

Doha: After 15 years of operations in Qatar and two years of acquiring ISO 9001:2008 Certificate, Ramaco Trading & Contracting has announced that it has acquired ISO 14001:2004 Environment Management System (EMS) and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS), after completing stages 1 2 audits for both standards by BSI (British Standards Institution).

Ramaco is operating an Integrated Management System (IMS) based on the requirements of these three international standards.
The announcement was made on Monday during a ceremony at La Cigale Hotel.
Omar Rashid, General Manager, BSI Qatar, handed over the two certificates to Fahd Al Jaidah, Chairman, Ramaco; and Engineer Ramzi S Mazloum, General Manager, Ramaco, in presence of Ramaco’s senior staff, clients’ representatives, consultants and other guests.
In a speech, Rashid stressed Ramaco’s commitment to implementation of the three standards he has touched throughout the past years.
“I would like to congratulate Ramaco Trading & Contracting on achieving ISO 14001:2008 & OHSAS 18001 Certification. I am delighted to be here to help mark the occasion. I applaud the company for leading by example with its commitment to achieve compliance with these international standards. I would like to congratulate Fahad Al Jaidah, Ramzi Mazloum, the project team, senior management and all staff involved in the project.
“I would like to specially congratulate Ramaco’s Management Representative Engineer Joseph H Zraibi, who worked hard behind the curtains and followed up the tiniest details to reach this achievement.”
Mazloum underscored Ramaco’s achievements throughout 15 years in Qatar and said: “To have future sustainability of business and steady growth, Ramaco has started a strategic plan to expand to other countries in the region and later world-wide. Ramaco will use its experience in the Qatari market and its human assets to implement the plan in the very near future.”
Jaidah expressed gratitude to  the Qatari leadership, especially H H Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and H H Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani for opening wide the country for investment and prosperity in line with Qatar 2030 Vision.
The chairman and the general manager received the certificates from BSI general manager and cut a cake to mark the achievement. All participants also attended Suhoor dinner.
