DOHA: The Logistics Department at the Ministry of Interior has signed a memorandum of understanding with Masraf Al Rayan and the security press under the department will print bank cheque books in addition to handling its personalisation, storage and other printing services.
It was also agreed to print credit cards, personalise services of credit cards, magnetic cards, EMV chips and NFC cards along with storage of cards, printing flyers, designing and preparing gift boxes and envelopes, and annual reports.
The MoU was signed by Brigadier Engineer Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Ansari, Director, Logistics Department, and Adel Mustafawi, CEO, Masraf Al Rayan Group, in the presence of Maj. Faisal Al Ansari, Chairman, Police Printing Section, and bank officials.
Brig. Al Ansari said the agreement was a major step forward to take over printing services of documents and materials of banks in Qatar and provide better services for them.
Al Mustafawi said the agreement would help build a solid business relationship with the ministry.
He said the provision of printing press for such services under the ministry is a major step towards the development of security of the financial sector and transactions in the country.
