Emir receives message from Greek president

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has received a written message from President Karolos Papoulias of Greece containing an invitation addressed to the Emir to visit Greece. 
Greek Ambassador Ioannis Metaxas handed over the letter during an audience with the Emir at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.


Deputy Premier meets Ethiopian ambassador

Doha: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud met yesterday with Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Qatar Meganu Arga. 
They discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields as well as a number of issues of common interest. The meeting was attended by a number of officials at the Cabinet General Secretariat.'''


Speaker receives message from Oman counterpart

Doha: The Speaker of the Advisory Council H E Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi received yesterday a written message from Omani Chairman of Majlis A’Shura Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali.
Omani Ambassador Mohamed bin Nasser Hamad Al Wihaibi handed the letter to the Speaker during the meeting. 
They discussed bilateral parliamentary relations and means to enhance them. Secretary-General of Advisory Council H E Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen attended the meeting.


Chairman of SJC meets Scottish judicial official

Doha: The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) H E Massoud Mohamed Al Amri who is also president of the Court of Cassation, met here yesterday Lord Gill, the Lord President of the Court of Session who is head of the judiciary in Scotland and the Lord Justice General.
They discussed aspects of joint cooperation in the legal and judicial fields between and how best of enhance them.
The visit of the Scottish judicial official also covered means of administration of judicature and the use of modern electronic methods for facilitating the litigation procedures and the exchange of information on ways and means that contribute to speeding settlement of civil and commercial cases. The Scottish official also voiced admiration and attention at the judicial and legal developments and their coping with the remarkable progress and development process Qatar witnessing in all areas.
