Doha, Qatar: The Embassy of Turkiye in Qatar yesterday organised an Iftar dinner at its premises in Diplomatic Enclave, Onaiza.
The event “Turkish Embassy Iftar with Members of Media by Nebras Media’ was attended by a number of leaders and representatives of local media outlets.
The Iftar programme was attended by the Ambassador of Turkiye to Qatar, H E Dr. Mustafa Goksu, welcomed the guest in bereief speech.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Turkiye to Qatar H E Dr. Mustafa Goksu said that in the spirit of Ramadan, a time of reflection, compassion, and unity, let us embrace the values of tolerance and respect that transcend borders and languages.

As we gather here tonight, he said: “We are having a unique opportunity to foster dialogue, build bridges, and promote peace in the world.”
The Ambassador said that this Iftar be a symbol of our shared humanity and aspirations for a better, more harmonious world.
He thanked the local media for continued coverage of the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
“And of course, we will not forget the prominent role played by Qatar in highlighting the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza through its continuous coverage of the tragic events there,” said the Ambassador.
“It is with great pleasure and warmth that I welcome you all to this traditional Turkish Embassy Iftar. Thank you for gracing us with your presence,” he added.
Tonight, he said: “As we gather here to share the tradition of Iftar, we are reminded of the values that unite us all – respect, sympathy and solidarity.
“Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank Nebras Media for providing us this opportunity to gather in this Iftar. I thank you once again for being a guest at our Iftar table,” said the Ambassador.
For his part the Editor-in-Chief of Al Sharq and Deputy of CEO of Dar Al Sharq Group Jaber Salem Al Harami delivered a speech, in which he spoke about the Nebras platform and its achievement since its launch.
In September 2023, Al Sharq newspaper launched, the first episodes of the “V90” program through its “Nebras” @Nebrqa platform.
This is the first Qatari newspaper to launch a “podcast” project, which will present a distinctive package of elite, social, sports, cultural, economic and educational programmes.
This is in keeping pace with the media scene, and based on its media leadership in Qatar and the region, and believing in its established societal role and its keenness to embrace community issues.
The “Nebras” platform presents to its audience 3 specific programmes: “Al-Bousala”, which is a programme that sheds light in dialogues with elites on the latest developments in events, and “Sawalef”, which is a social programme that discusses societal issues with Qatari figures, in addition to the sports program in 90, which provides a rich conversations with sports stars.
