DPS-Modern Indian School has been awarded with the prestigious ECO-Schools Programme Award 2019-20 for the third consecutive year at a ceremony held on March 7, 2020.
The institution bagged the Red Star in the ‘Waste Management’ category for its project on ‘DPS-MIS Waste Management’.
‘ECO-Schools Programme Award’, a nationwide initiative by Doha Bank encourages schools to reduce their carbon footprints and empower the young minds to make a difference to the society and the environment.
Dr. R Seetharaman, CEO Doha Bank expressed his immense pleasure at the successful completion of yet another edition of annual ECO-Schools Programme.
He also mentioned that it is a part of the ongoing efforts of Doha Bank towards developing and implementing green initiatives that spread awareness about environmental conservation and protection.
The enthusiastic environmentalists of DPS-Modern Indian School along with their Eco- Club in-charge Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra received the award from the Chief Guest, Ivonne A Baki, former Ambassador of Ecuador to Qatar. DPS-Modern Indian School’s participation in the programme endorses its commitment towards sustainable development.
