Doha: Since its establishment in 2011, being the first incubated company in Qatar, Ibtechar has proved its extraordinary ability to meet the market needs and client requirements, by offering tailored innovation management, consultancy, and development services.
Standing out at the forefront of the innovation and integrated solutions sector, Ibtechar boasts a high profile as the prolific developer of 70 percent of all certified innovation spaces in Qatar.
One essential factor in Ibtechar’s growing reputation and highly trusted products and services is its association with a wide range of major institutions and large organisations both in Qatar and beyond. Those include supporters and sponsors that contribute to the company’s track record, as well as clients that entrust it with the mission of making their ideations a reality.
The long list of big corporate clients of Ibtechar over the past decade includes Qatar Development Bank (QDB), which assigned the company to develop and operate the Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) Fab Lab, the country’s first digital fabrication laboratory for startups and small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) in various sectors.
It also worked with Qatar Assistive Technology Center (Mada) to create the Mada Fab Lab, which welcomes innovators and young entrepreneurs to support their projects and innovations in the field of ICT accessibility.
Moreover, Ibtechar cooperated with the Ministry of Transport and Communications and malomatia to create Studio 5/6, which seeks to develop multiple skills among the youth in coding and gaming, 3D modeling and digital fabrication, 3D scanning, and digital electronics.
As a local delivery partner, Ibtechar delivered Shell Nxplorers locally which is an innovative education programme aimed at equipping the next generation with the tools and skills they need to reshape their worldview and create sustainable solutions to real-world issues. The program is inspired by Ibtechar’s strategy of contributing to the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives related to its main competence: practical innovation.
Sponsored by Qatar Satellite Company (Es’hailSat), the company joined hands with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) to co-launch Sanea Program, which promotes a culture of making and innovation among school students, through several components like: Sanea Competition, Sanea Bus, Sanea Camp, and STEM curriculum.
Ibtechar’s flagship achievement is its recent collaboration with Barzan Holdings, the investment arm of Qatar’s Ministry of Defense (MOD), to develop sustainable solutions for drone tracking systems. This project will help to ensure the safety and security of critical infrastructure, prevent the risks of such emerging technologies, and enforce the laws that regulate flying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Other clients that choose to capitalise on the team of Ibtechar include the Ministry of Culture (MOC), Qatar Scientific Club (QSC), Occidental Petroleum of Qatar, Qatar Museums, the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), Qatar University (QU), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), Al-Shaqab (member of Qatar Foundation), Boeing, Economic Zones Company (Manateq), and Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development.
In the years to come, Ibtechar will expand its clientele in different sectors, further bolstering its leading position in the industry and actively serving to lay the foundations for the knowledge-based society pursued by QNV 2030.
