A session on college admissions in India – challenges and opportunities ‑ was conducted by Birla Public School for the students of IX, X,and XI. Resource person Pradeep Narayanan talked about a large number of choices and options for courses and colleges across India.
He also spoke about the several changes that are being brought about in the college admission process both by the government and the universities. He emphasied the fact that students should never take chance with their college admissions. Usually admission process starts before the Board Examinations as such the students should apply as early as possible and start preparing for their entrance examinations.
Further he briefed about the different types of entrance examinations like NATA, DASA, JEE-Main, Advanced, KVYP etc and adviced the students on how to train themselves for the same.
As our students get ready to complete school education, it is important to start planning for the next step of their career. On this occasion he also talked about the different streams the student could select and specialize after they complete their XII Grade. The students raised many doubts regarding entrance examinations and courses and he very well cleared all their doubts. The session was very profitable to all the students who attended it.
