DOHA: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has trained a group of 25 employees on Enterprise Risk Management to accomplish its aim to create a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is the process of proactively planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the activities of an organization to minimize the effects of risk.
The course was organized by the Occupational Health and Safety Department (OHS) and was presented by the IIR Middle East, a leading international provider of specialised risk management services. Dr Huda Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of Occupational Health and Safety Department said a team was working collaboratively across the organization to provide assistance in the process of assessing and managing the risk factors in the organization.
“All the participants are committed to teach their colleagues everything they learned during this course,” said Dr Al Nuaimi. “This is an important part of the collaborative process.”
Amal Al Langawi, Director of Health Awareness Program in the OHS department, said that the course has included the latest methods of medical, occupational and administrative risk management.
“It also addressed many risk management issues and scenarios that may occur in the work environment,” Al Langawi said.
