Doha: Ooredoo has announced a distribution event for the new iPhone 13 series tonight at Katara Cultural Village.
Customers who were lucky enough to secure a pre-order for the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 mini will be able to collect their model of choice at the event.
The event will officially open at 11pm today, with a countdown beginning at 11.59pm and the first devices being handed over at precisely 00.01 am tomorrow. Devices will be distributed from walk-in kiosks and a VIP tent at the venue, with strict limits on capacity according to current guidelines.
Event attendees can expect a presenter, live DJ, entertainment and guests, and the celebration will be live-streamed on Ooredoo’s Instagram.
Home delivery and shop collection of pre-ordered devices will begin tomorrow (Friday), with shop collection starting from 1pm at dedicated shops and deliveries as per schedule.
While COVID-19 restrictions have previously necessitated a drive-through option, gradual lifting of such restrictions, the Ehteraz app, and high vaccination rates have meant that this option is not seen as necessary this year.
Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, Director PR at Ooredoo, said: “As always, we are delighted to be celebrating the launch of the latest iPhone range. We know our customers place huge importance on being able to get their hands on the very latest technology and most covetable devices, and we’re proud to be able to facilitate this in our strategic pursuit of complete customer satisfaction. We look forward to meeting our iPhone customers at this exciting event!”
