DOHA: The classic children’s story Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves will come alive this Eid Al Adha as Katara presents an artistic show featuring characters from the story.

Characters from the popular One Thousand and One Nights story in the form of giant puppets will roam around the streets and alleys of Katara and culminate at the Katara Amphitheatre.

There will be two shows every night from Tuesday until Friday; one from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and the other from 8.30pm to 9.30pm, which will immediately be followed by a breathtaking fireworks display which will last 15 minutes at the Katara Beachfront.

This is the first time Katara is hosting the unique show.

It will also feature an acrobatic dance called Dance on Fire set to enthrall families and other visitors at the Cultural Village during the four-day Eid Al Adha celebration.
