Ahli Bank sponsors Qatar business women forum

Ahli Bank announced recently its sponsorship of the Third Qatar International Business Women Forum (QIBWF) organised by the Qatari Business Women Association and Interactive Business Network (IBN) which will be held on October 15 and 16 at the St Regis Hotel.

The forum will be a perspective on the ‘post revolutions on Arab economy’ and will see in attendance over 800 delegates from around the world.

The QIBWF will resume and expand the key issues that are related to the economic empowerment of women in the Arab world and their growing role in business. Some of the key topics include Businesswomen and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Investment and asset management strategies, challenges facing Arab businesswomen in the transitional economy, the role of NGOs and the empowerment of women and Risk/Reward scenarios for women entrepreneurs within prevailing cultural constraints.

Moataz El Rafie, Chief Executive Officer at Ahli Bank said: “Ahli Bank is a partner in the growth of Qatar and we realize our role as an active participant in the welfare of our community through a wide range of activities we spearhead to enrich and assist in education, culture and awareness growth of the country. We are honoured to take part in this third edition of QIBWF which we are confident will be of major interest to the Qatari community and the region as a whole.”

Aisha Alfardan, Vice Chairwoman of the Qatar Businesswomen Association said: “The QIBWF in its third edition will resume and expand on the discussion of leading issues of the hour on the economic empowerment of women in the Arab world, focusing on their growing role in business and every other sphere of economic activity, and the challenges and obstacles that they continue to face as they strengthen their leadership and executive positions in an evolving regional business environment. The forum will also analyze a number of broader business issues that are of particular interest to the Gulf countries and the Arab world at large. The QIBWF is already established as a path-breaking event in Qatar and the Arab world and we’re very happy to see an increasing number of participants and sponsors, such as Ahli Bank, that are joining this initiative and sharing common underlying values.”
