Doha: The Ministry of Municipality represented by Doha Municipality (Municipal Control Department) carried out an extensive inspection campaign on the support services industrial area.
First phase inspection campaign held from June 26 to July 28, resulted in the inspection of 245 food outlets.
Municipal inspectors recorded five violations and closed down a store for violating some provisions of the law for regulating foods.
A total of 637 abandoned vehicles were also removed during the period. They inspected 81 industrial installations and plots during which they recorded 14 violations of some provisions of the law for regulating building.
The campaign aimed to spread regulatory awareness among institutions and users of plots in the industrial zone, and to raise awareness of maintaining adherence to municipal laws, and making the industrial zone a clean and ideal city.
During the campaign, awareness pamphlets were distributed to plots and facilities for the implementation and application of municipal laws and decisions, and a comprehensive inventory of facilities and plots was made in the industrial zone.
The campaign came within the application of Law No. 18 of 2017 regarding public cleanliness, and Law No. 1 of 2012 regarding organising and controlling the placement of advertisements, monitoring and removing neglected vehicles in coordination with the joint committee to remove abandoned cars.
