The conference, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, was initially scheduled to take place from June 17 to 20 but was postponed due to the situation in the Middle East.
Assistant Minister for UN at the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Omar Awadallah stated that there are joint international efforts led by Saudi Arabia and France to establish practical foundations for implementing the two-state solution and recognizing the State of Palestine.
The Palestinian official noted that Saudi Arabia and France have begun sending invitations for the international conference, which will be hosted by the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
