Madrid, Spain: A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of Spain today.
The US Geological Survey said the earthquake struck 21 kilometers (13 miles) southeast of the town of San Jose and at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles).
There were no initial reports of injuries or material damage, and no tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake.
It is noteworthy that a previous earthquake struck the Spanish city of Lorca in 2011, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, killing nine people.
