Athens: Three people were still missing on Wednesday after a helicopter crashed off the Greek island of Samos in the Aegean Sea during an operation to extinguish a wildfire, Greek authorities said.
One of the four-member crew has been rescued, and a search was underway to locate the others, according to a press release from the fire brigade.
The four persons on board the Soviet-made Mil-Mi-8 helicopter were three foreign nationals - two Moldovans and a Romanian - and a Greek, according to the press statement.
