Doha: The Board of Trustees of Qatar University (QU), which is chaired by Deputy Amir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, has renewed its trust on Dr Hassan Rashid Al Derham (pictured) as President of Qatar University reappointing him for another four years.
On the occasion of extending his presidency of Qatar University, Dr Al Durham tweeted on Wednesday. Dr Al Derham was appointed President of Qatar University on June 15, 2015. Prior to his appointment, he served as Vice-President for Research since 2007, and during this period he was able to promote research at the university to reach its status as a leading academic institution in the field of research excellence in the Gulf region.
