QNA, IRNA sign MoU to bolster cooperation and exchange of news

Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) and the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bolster cooperation and news exchange between the two agencies.

On the Qatari side, the MoU was signed by  Director-General of QNA, Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi, with the CEO of IRNA, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, signing for the Iranian side.

The signing ceremony was attended by  Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State of Qatar, H E Dr. Ali Salehabadi, alongside a host of officials from both agencies.

The MoU aims to reinforce cooperation between the two countries in the area of exchanging news, forge bilateral cooperation based on parity in the exchange of news, photos, and video footage, in addition to providing all possible facilitation and assistance to correspondents and envoys of each party in the territory of the other.

The Iranian delegation toured QNA’s training centre and was apprised of the training programs, as well as the technical and technological potential available. 

It also visited the Technical Affairs Department and was briefed on the workflow and the state-of-the-art systems leveraged in the fields of broadcasting and media production.
